With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Kathy T. McCormick Stanley of Gladstone, Virginia, born in Richmond, Virginia, who passed away on March 29, 2024 at the age of 67. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Thomas McCormick, Sr. and Mamie Evelyn Woody McCormick; and her brother William Thomas "W. T." McCormick, Jr.. She is survived by: her former husband John Dunavant of Dundas, VA; her daughter Wendy Dawn Terwilliger (Andrew) of Moyock, NC; her stepsons, Zachary Dunavant of Homestead, FL and Benjamin Dunavant of Victoria, VA; her grandsons, Austin Sturtz (Chelsea) of Newport News, Ryan Philbates of Hayes, VA and Logan Terwilliger of Moyock, NC; her great grandchild Aria Sturtz of Newport News; her siblings, Donnie McCormick (Crystal) of Appomattox, Kenneth McCormick (Nancy) of Lynchburg, Debbie McCormick of Gladstone and Mollie McCormick (Thomas) of Appomattox; and her pets, Mispy and Oscar. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
