He was predeceased by: his wife Christine Tyree; his parents, Bennie Tyree, Sr. and Doris Tyree; his sons, Carlton Tyree and Ronnie Tyree; and his siblings, Margaret Burks, Mary Whorley, William Tyree and Robert Tyree.

He is survived by: his children, Kelly Seitz (Donnie) of Amherst and Linda Diane (Harry) of Gladstone; and his close friend Loraine Fittery. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
