He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde McVey and Mabel McVey; his daughter-in-law Martha McVey; and his sister Jewel Fleisher. He is survived by: his caregiver Ida Mae Wilson McVey; his children, Shirley Worley (David) of Bristol, VA, Debbie Owens (Danny) of Glade Spring, VA, Cindy Hopkins (Steve) of Marion, VA, Melinda Harmon (John) of Marion, VA, Bill McVey of Granby, CT and Tim McVey (Carolyn) of Glade Spring, VA; his sister Janet McVey of Roanoke, VA; and his grandchildren, Amanda Snead, Travis Owens, Chasity Owens, Josh Owens, Amber Anzalone, Lindsey McVey and Trayton McVey. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
