He was predeceased by: his parents, Austin Tuell and Lorena Tuell; and his siblings, Velma Blackburn, Anne LeMieux, J. C. Tuell and Alfred A. Tuell.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Jo Tuell; his sons, Richard L. Tuell (Tina) and John A. Tuell; his grandchildren, Justin Tuell and Kristen Tuell; his stepgrandson C. J. Pearson; his nephews, Bob Blackburn (Linda) and Jim Tuell (Debbie); his niece Mary Schultz (Dan); and also, Cindy Bartram, Zachary Tuell, Austin Tuell and Susan Tuell.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Old Glade Presbyterian Church, Emory & Henry College, or the Alzheimer's Organization, in Mr. Tuell's name.
