We are sad to announce that on May 27, 2023, at the age of 87, Mona Trent Buchanan of Glade Spring, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Hugh Trent and Ora Hopkins (Frank Buchanan Jr.); and her siblings, Omer Trent, Sage Trent, Judy Yarber and Betty Collins.

She is survived by: her children, Laura (Gary Bentzen), Myrtle Buchanan of Abingdon, VA, Mary (Cliff Presley), Virginia, Frank (Rebecca Buchanan), Patrick (Colleen Buchanan) and Martha (Patrick McBride); her grandchildren, Christian Bentzen, Rebecca Bentzen, Sarah (David Hunt), Emma (Hunter Wyatt), Tyler Presley, Campbell (Lyndsay Buchanan), Connor (Emma Buchanan), Maggie Buchanan, Adrienne McBride, Matthew Presley, Reid Buchanan, Grant Buchanan, Piper McBride and Lochlan McBride; her great grandchild Jane Wyatt; her siblings, Peggy Mink, Johnny Trent, Angie Rasnic and Mike Trent; and her husband Frank Buchanan.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Glade Spring Presbyterian Church or Glade Spring Library.
