He is survived by: his wife Patsy Widener Thomas; his stepdaughters, Christina Flores (Freddie) and Angela Perry; his sisters, Patsy Green (Steve), Rachel Thomas, Sue Thomas and Angel Thomas; his grandchildren, Jason Barlow (Christy), Candy Vicars (Jamie), Stephanie Greer (Stan), Harold Perry and Joshua Perry; his great grandchildren, Emily Barlow, Hollie Barlow, Ryelin Barlow, Heidi Greer, Abby Greer and Alec Perry; his nieces and nephews, Jessica Morrison (J. R. Bowman), Peanut Thomas (Alexis), Marion Thomas, James Thomas, Martin Thomas and Kim Green; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Hailey Thomas, Joshua Thomas, Christian Morrison, Melinda Morrison, Andrew Bowman, Auburn Bowman and Isaiah Bowman; and his close friend Fred Thomas.
