He was predeceased by: his parents, John DeBord and Susie DeBord; and his wife Linda DeBord. He is survived by: his son David DeBord; his daughter-in-law Karen of Chilhowie, VA; his granddaughter Ashley Perkins (Roy); his great grandchildren, Paisley Perkins and Everley Perkins of Chilhowie, VA; and his brothers, Billy DeBord (Revonda) of Tazewell, VA, Roger DeBord (Zola) and Rex DeBord (Teresa). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
