He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Swartz and Nellie Swartz; his wife Frankie Smith Swartz; his daughter Donni Swartz; and his siblings, E. D., Jaycee Swartz, Vivian Delp and Pauline Nipper.
He is survived by: his daughter Sherrie Arrants; his grandchildren, April, Amy and Anthony; and his great grandchildren, Dru, Trahson, Jazmyne and Colt. He is also survived by 4 great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and his faithful companion, his dog.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Freedom Baptist Church.
