He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy E. Johnson and Annie Mae Oakes Johnson; and his brothers, Frank, Billy and Buck Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Ernestine Hodges Johnson; his children, Sue Secrest (Duke), Gary Johnson and Michelle J. Page; his grandchildren, Crystal Roberts (Jamey), Carrie Williams, Kyle (Jenny), Eric, Trevin (Katlyn), Brianna Johnson and Kavyn Page; and his sister-in-law Janice Ellis (Chuck). He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and many special friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount. A funeral service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Flora Funeral Chapel.
