She was predeceased by: her husband Junior Gilbert Hodges; her parents, Nora Ellen Young and E. M. Freeman; her siblings, Raymond Lee Burgess and Nellie Freeman Austin; and her son-in-law John Hannon.
She is survived by: her children, April Hodges, Eric Hodges and Misty Hodges. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, December 22nd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Franklin Memorial Park.
