He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Scott Gillenwater and Verna Gillenwater (Coffey); his grandparents, Blane Coffey, Lizzie B. Fritz, Paul and Eulala Gillenwater; his aunt Linda Carter; his uncle Johnny Fritz; his brother Adam Gillenwater (Jane); his nieces and nephews, Zane, Dadrian, Jessam, Jamesa, ChaCha and Jasmine; and his uncles, Jerry Tomlinson (Penny), David Fritz (Christy), Blane Coffey (Trish) and Doug Gillenwater. He was also cherished by many cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 12:15 PM at the Gate City Funeral Home (136 Beech St, Gate City, VA 24251). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Holston View Cemetery (226 Yuma Rd, Weber City, VA 24290).
