She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Jay Burke and Joyce Joanna Burke (Smith); her former husband Charles C. W. Byrd; and her granddaughter Sabrina Simpson. She is survived by: her husband Michael Rutowski; her children, Adam Byrd (Stephanie) and Regina Simpson (Gary); her grandchildren, Emily, Abigail Simpson and Thorin Byrd; her siblings, Walter Burke (Mary), Thomas Burke (Joyce), Martin Burke (Sharon), Richard Burke (Starr) and Vickie Dooley (Bill); her aunt Sheila Robin Nash (G. E.); her uncle Claude Burke (Charlene); and her close friend Michael D. Simpson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
