Opal George Obituary
We are sad to announce that on August 5, 2021, at the age of 84, Opal George of Gate City, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Dallas and Pearlie Ramey (Carter); her siblings, Paralee Ramey, Evelyn Gregory, Emma Lynn Thacker and George Dallas Ramey, Jr. (Junior); her children, Carla George of Christiansburg, VA and Allen George (Cheryl) of Gate City, VA; her grandchildren, Matthew, Lauren George, David George and Connie Hale of Christiansburg, VA; and her brothers-in-law, Paul, Jewell George of Kingsport, TN and Dennis George of Nickelsville, VA.
Due to the recent surge of COVID 19, there will be a walk-through visitation from 1- 3 p. m., Sunday, August 8, 2021, at the Ewing Chapel, Gate City, VA, with no formal service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations can be made in Opal's name to Ewing's Chapel, 155 Shady Elm Lane, Weber City, VA 24290.
