She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel J. Elbert LaForce and Pearl LaForce (Gilbert); her husband Charles Owens; and her siblings, Lois Wood, Gladys Wagner, Esther Walker, Leonard, James, John and Warren LaForce.
She is survived by: her son Samuel Charles Owens (Cathy); her sisters, Sylvia Pierson, Naomi Benton and Marlene LaForce; and her close friends, Betty Carter and Patricia Darnell. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
