It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leon Green (Gate City, Virginia), born in Fort Blackmore, Virginia, who passed away on October 5, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Deloris Smith Green; his parents, Otto Green and Mae Green; and his siblings, John Daniel Green, Shirley Ann Green Pierson and Colin C. Green.
He is survived by: his children, Angela Green Morelock (Allen) of Kingsport, Philip F. Green (Nancy) of Kingsport and Leslie Ramona Green Bullis (Marvin) of Kingsport; his grandchildren, Austin Bullis, Heather Bullis, Rachel Green and Issac Green; his close friend Betty Ramey; his sister-in-law Janice Green; his brother Lee W Smith (Shelby); his sister-in-law Chizua Smith; and his cousin Bobbie Johnson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Due to the ongoing COVID Pandemic, the family asks that those attending wear a face covering and practice social distancing.
