John C. Salyer Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 15, 2022, at the age of 95, John C. Salyer of Gate City, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Salyer and Eliza Osborne Salyer; his siblings, Hazel Jones, Amos Salyer, Raymond Salyer and Howard Salyer; and his half-brothers, Willard Salyer and Troy Burton.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Katherine Salyer; his children, Wilma Jane Salyer Osborne (Bobby L.) of Castlewood, Virginia and Jerry H. Salyer (Teresa Ann) of Castlewood, Virginia; and his half-siblings, Dora Helton of Castlewood, Martha Johnson of Abingdon, Virginia and Brian Burton of Johnson City, Tennessee. He is also survived by four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Due to COVID-19, the family requests those attending the Visitation and Services to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
