It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janice Carol Gillenwater of Gate City, Virginia, who passed away on August 16, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parent Maxie (Starnes); and her sister Georgia Faye Dezarn of Gate City, VA. She is survived by: her husband Richard Curtis Gillenwater; her daughters, Kristy Gillenwater (Chip) and Michelle Lynn Gillenwater; her grandchildren, Lauren Ansley Nichols and Abigail Grace Nichols; and her nieces and nephews, Ashley Megan Brickey of Arlington, VA, William Ryan Brickey of Church Hill, TN and Mekayla Jordan Dezarn of Lihue, HI. She is also survived by her numerous cousins, extended family, and close friends.
