She was predeceased by: her parents, Ally J. Herron and Lassie Herron; her husband William Carter (Bill); her son William Terry Carter; and her brother Joe Herron.
She is survived by: her son Mickey Carter (Barbara); her grandchildren, Anna Carter Grice (Anthony) and Will Carter (Madison); her great grandchildren, Carter and Luke Grice; her brother Tommy Herron (Josephine); and her niece Whitney Flanary. She is also survived by several other nieces & nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory can be made to Gate City United Methodist Church or the Alzheimer's Association.
