He was predeceased by: his parents, Callie Mae Edwards Darnell and George M. Darnell; his wife Patsy Darnell; and his siblings, Fred, Larry Darnell, Georgia Mae Ervin, Shirley Lawson and Kathy Sexton.
He is survived by: his sons, James Mickey Darnell (Rochelle), Rickey Darnell (Leanna) and Jason Darnell (Jackie); and his siblings, Carolyn Frazier (Eddie), Virginia Grizzle, Earl Darnell (Charlene) and Hubert Darnell (Billie). He is also survived by 6 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Colonial Funeral Home to assist the family with funeral expenses.
