It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elbert Sevear Quillen Jr. of Gate City, Virginia, who passed away on January 12, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Jane Quillen (Alley); his parents, Elbert Quillen and Partha Quillen (Gillenwater); his parents-in-law, Joe and Etta Alley (Greear); his sister Reba Miller; his siblings-in-law, Ellen Alley, Betty Peters, Sharon Roberts, Ross Dockery, Ed Helton, John LaForce, Pat "Jammer" Lawson, Bill Langrel, Curt Peters and Marvin Roberts; and his grandson Stephen Craft.
He is survived by: his children, Douglas, Leon Quillen, Loretta Page (Larry) and Diana Carter (Fredie); his grandchildren, Michael Page, Staci Dunn (Kevin) and Samantha Hylton (Anthony Horner); his great grandchildren, Brooke Page (Landon Blinn), Brett Page, Savanna Craft, Scarlett Dunn and Grayson Horner; and his siblings, Ollie Dockery, Gertrude Lawson, Nina LaForce, Joan Langrel, Marie Helton, Shirley Williams, Brenda Salling, Cathy Doty, Patton Quillen, Odell Quillen, Fred Quillen and Mack Quillen. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
