He was predeceased by: his father Emitt Lee Burke Sr.; his wife Peggy Jean Burke; and his siblings, Emmitt "Chub" Burke Jr. and Nell Nickels (late Ben). He is survived by: his daughter Elizabeth Jean Taylor (Eddie); his granddaughters, Meagan Potts and Holly Hall; his great grandchildren, Avery Gillenwater, Brayden Dockery, Miley Potts and Gabriella Hall; and his brothers, Billy Burke (Helen), Jimmy Burke (Roseanne) and Ricky Burke (Sue). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
