He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude B. McConnell Sr. and Ruth Campbell McConnell. He is survived by: his wife Gerry Droke McConnell; his children, LeAnn Crawford (John), Chad McConnell (Jennifer), Michael McConnell (Kristie), Denisa Harper (Randall) and Claudia Quillen; his grandchildren, Braiden McConnell, Caitlin McConnell, Jessica Wagner (Dayton) and Alyssa McConnell; his sisters, Carolyn Hilton (Doug), Mary Lou Barrett (Ron) and Betty Jean Jeter; and his close friends, Larry Huff and Ricky Begley. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
