He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert George and Una George; his wife Opal; and his sister Nina Faye George. He is survived by: his daughter Carla George; his daughter-in-law Connie Hale of Christiansburg, VA; his son Allen (Cheryl) of Gate City, VA; his grandsons, Matthew (Lauren) and David George of Gate City, VA; his great grandchild Adelyn George; his brothers, Dennis George of Nickelsville, VA and Paul George (Jewell) of Kingsport, TN; his nieces, Betsy Gibson of Gate City, VA and Paula Browder (Derrick) of Kingsport, TN; and his close friends, Roger Peters of Gate City, VA, Bill, Priscilla Pendleton of Gate City, VA, Pat and Julie Fuller of Gate City, VA. He is also survived by several other family members and many friends.
