She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Luther L. and Retha Lucy Ashworth Lane; her husband Rev. Lonas O. "Hawk" Salling; her siblings, James, Ellis Lane, Annie Egan, Marie Dingus Shelton and Nora Kern; and her nieces, Debbie Kern Brewer and Kathleen Qualls.
She is survived by: her daughter Michelle S. Newland; her sisters-in-law, Ella Salling and Sylvia Salling; her daughter Carol Waddle; and also David Newland. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews; special friend.
