It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Annie Jane Griffin of Gate City, Virginia, who passed away on October 1, 2022, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil Stokes and Dotsie Stokes (Byrd); her husband Carlos Allen Griffin; her son Jason Allen Griffin; and her siblings, Shelby Jean Booher, Teresa Joyner, Baby Anita Stokes, Jack, Don, Sam, Bob and Garland Stokes.
She is survived by: her daughters, Jennifer Duncan (Rick) and Regina Diets (Dennis Baldwin); her grandchildren, Justin Diets, Joey Diets, Dwayne, Matthew Griffin (Sophie), Josh Adkins, Michael Jones, Jr., Amber Diets Woodard (Patrick) and Larissa Begley (Richard); her great grandchildren, Abel Berry, Lelan Begley, Cole Diets and Emilie Adkins; her siblings, Mary Sue Fuller, Brenda Wolfe (Jerry) and Tommy Stokes (Melissa); and her sister-in-law Inece Griffin. She is also survived by pet, "T. J", along with several nieces and nephews.
