He is survived by: his wife Madeline Delp Goodson of Galax, Virginia; his granddaughter Hannah (Kendall Spangler) of Galax, Virginia; his sister Betty; his brother-in-law Larry Stone of Mt Airy; and his brothers, Woody (Georgia Goodson) and Jimmy (Deanna Goodson). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
