He was predeceased by: his father Charles Marlin; and his brother Allen Bedwell. He is survived by: his wife Patsy Carrico Bedwell; his son Ricky; his daughter-in-law Anne Bedwell of Galax, Virginia; his daughter Marsha Mayhew of Lexington, Virginia; his grandchildren, Kelly Mayhew of Stephen's City, Sarah Mayhew of Lexington, John (Jessica Bedwell), Mark (Holly Bedwell), Jennifer (Craig Lawson) and Jamie Edmonds of Galax, Virginia.; and his great grandchildren, Dylan, Will, Kaitlyn, Parker, Bradley and Alyssa.
The family also requests that in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the West Galax United Methodist Church or to Gideons International.
