We are sad to announce that on November 8, 2024, at the age of 60, Susan Renee Darby of Galax, Virginia, born in Surry, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Susan Renee leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Hiatt, Sr. and Sarah Cockerham Hiatt; and her brother-in-law George Gray. She is survived by: her husband Robert Lee Darby; her sons, David Darby and Dennis Darby; and her siblings, Majeta Gray, Stuart Hiatt, Jr. and Eric Hiatt (Jenny).
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Genesis Full Gospel Church (433 Sparger Rd, Mt Airy, NC 27030). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
Flowers will be accepted, or donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
