He is survived by: his wife Genene Stuart; his sister Freda of Galax, Virginia; his brother-in-law Jim Sexton of Galax, Virginia; and his nieces and nephews, Matthew, Makaley, Maclon Lineberry, Brianna, Levi Sawyers, Kevin, Kelly Lineberry, Carrie, Mitch Hawks, Karlie, Kambri Hawks, Stacey and Gregory Slate.

Mask and social distancing will be required for the graveside service.
