She was predeceased by: her father Paul Vernon; and her sister Mary Alice Vernon. She is survived by: her husband Larry Burnette of Galax, Virginia; her son Jason; her daughter-in-law Stephanie Burnette of Woodlawn, Virginia; her brother Lloyd Vernon of Galax, Virginia; and her sisters-in-law, Linda Burnette and Josephine (Gilbert Perry).
