With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Oatie Edwin Leath of Galax, Virginia, who passed away on December 22, 2021 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Samuel and Mallie Emmajane Dillon Leath; his wife Shirley Horton Leath; and his son Travis Leath. He is survived by: his children, Teresa (Ronald Burcham), Geneva (Tim Weatherman), Tim (Diane Leath) and Sam Leath of Galax, Virginia. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers ther family respectfully request donations be made to either the Pipers Gap Rescue Squad or to the Mountain Valley Hospice.
