It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nelson Clifford Patton of Galax, Virginia, who passed away on October 6, 2020, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Patton and Ella Ethel Frost Patton; and his son Craig Patton. He is survived by: his wife Shirley E. Patton of Galax, Virginia; his sons, Clifford Nelson (Cecelia Patton) and Kenneth R. Patton of Kansas City, Kansas; his grandchildren, Amelia Elizabeth Patton, Michael A. Patton (Jessica Hagy), Matthew S. Patton and William J. Patton; and his great grandchild Andrew Patton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
