She was predeceased by: her parents, Lonnie Carico and Blanch Bartlett Carico; her husband Talmadge Ray Petty; and her siblings, Hattie (Frank Trimble), Kate (Curtis Livengood), Peggy (Bob Iroler), Wanda Spurlin Caudell, Edna (Jimmy Lineberry), Mitchell (Nina Carico), Friel (Shirley Mae Carico), Bill (Frances Carico), Orville (Betty Carico) and Jake (Shelia Carico).
She is survived by: her sons, Danny (Phyllis Petty) of Galax, Virginia and David Petty of Galax, Virginia; her sisters, Joyce (Raymond Davis), Rachel (Doug Shaw) and Shirley (Brady Bryant); her grandchildren, Mark Petty (Terri Lynn), Sheila Goodman and Dorie Nichols (David); and her great grandchildren, Megan Petty, Jacob Petty, Wesley Petty, Zaine Goodman, Rylee Goodman, Peyton Hill, Sierra Nichols and Morgan Nichols. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law.
