It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joyce Bell (Bartlett) Hankley of Galax, Virginia, born in Austinville, Virginia, who passed away on January 1, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ben Collins and Ila Amelia Crutchfield Hankley; her daughter Lynn Hackler; her brother Donald Hankley; and her sisters-in-law, Ileta Hankley and Garnetta Hankley.
She is survived by: her children, Kimberly Hargrave of Galax, Virginia, Ben (Susie Bartlett) and Tim Bartlett (Stephanie Nicholson); her son-in-law Duane (Linda Hackler) of Myrtle Beach; her brother B. C. Hankley of Galax, Virginia; and her grandchildren, Kevin Hackler (Kristin), Caleb Hackler, Brandi Burkhart (Kenny), Jennifer Cockerham (Duane), Jessica Bartlett, Justin Bartlett (Ambyr), Kaitlyn Bartlett (Troy), Dylan Bartlett (Carrie), Shelby Dalton (Tommy) and Jared Cochran (Kiaira). She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
