Jewel Dawn Blackburn Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 26, 2025, at the age of 88, Jewel Dawn Blackburn of Galax, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Earnest "Earn" Bartlett and Annie Bartlett; her siblings, Jack Bartlett (Mary), Joe Bartlett and Jelene Patton (Harvey); and her son-in-law Dan Harrison.
She is survived by: her husband J. C. Blackburn; her sister-in-law Glenna Bartlett; her children, Joey Blackburn (Linda), Janice Davis (Roy), Janie Harrison and Jolena Young (Chris); her grandchildren, Josh Davis, Tracy Sawyers, Jeremiah Johnson, Aaron Blackburn, Justin Seagraves, Daniel Harrison and Susan Kitzrow; and her close friends, Gene, Ida Bryant, Fern and Larry McMillian. She is also survived by 21 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Fairlawn Church of Christ (344 Coleman Ridge Rd, Galax, VA 24333).
