It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Janie Alice Higgins of Galax, Virginia, who passed away on August 27, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ervin Floyd and Sena Hazel Melton Bowman; her husband Wiley Gwyn Higgins; her son Robert Gwyn Higgins; and her granddaughter Katrina Higgins.
She is survived by: her daughter Karen; her son-in-law Randy Long of Fayetteville; her sons, Terry (Betsy Higgins) and Dana Higgins; her sisters, Hazel Easter and Norma (Dean Payne); her sister-in-law Patsy Bowman of Galax, Virginia; and her grandchildren, Raymond Higgins, Alisha Higgins and Randall Higgins. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family respectfully request donations be made to the Freedom Baptist Church or to the church of the donor's choice.
