It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Vernon Young of Galax, Virginia, born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 16, 2023, at the age of 51, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his parents, James Lester and Darlene Wert Young; his wife Tamara Jones Young; his daughter Maya Young of Galax, Virginia; his sister Becky; his brother-in-law Kirk Spicer of Mt. Airy; his brothers, Jesse (Tammy Young) and Joseph (Lori Young); and his mother-in-law Bobbie Jones of Galax, Virginia.. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
