He was predeceased by: his parents, Iveris Galyean and Grace Smith Galyean; his wife Ruby Triplett Galyean; and his siblings, Wilma Galyean Walker and Okie Galyean.
He is survived by: his son Dan; his daughter-in-law Pam Galyean of Knoxville, Tennessee; and his sister Verna Lowe of Low Gap. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, October 2nd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Monta Vista Cemetery (1031 Glendale Rd, Galax, VA 24333).
