She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey Rutherford and Winnie Galyean Rutherford; her husband Archie "Bud" Burcham; her sisters, Eva (Lewis Nichols) and Nina (Mitchell Carico); and her half-brother Bruce Jones.
She is survived by: her children, Sherry Burcham of Galax, Virginia and Mike; her daughter-in-law Debbie Burcham of Roanoke, Virginia; her grandchildren, Eric Burcham, Shelley, Michael Carpenter and Paige Burcham; her great grandchildren, Grant Carpenter and Madilyn "Madi" Carpenter; and her brothers, Herbert (Ruth Rutherford) of Galax, Virginia, Rudolph (Lou Ella Rutherford) of Galax, Virginia and Thomas Rutherford of Galax, Virginia. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
