He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Akers of Galax, Virginia; his daughter Elizabeth Ann; his son-in-law Stanford Lowe of Low Gap; his grandson Brian (Shawna Lowe) of Low Gap; his great grandchildren, Christopher Kyle Lowe, Jacob Dale Lowe and Eric Michael Lowe; his close friends, Savannah and Alexis; and his pet Toby.
