He is survived by: his children, Tony Phipps (Monica) of Galax, VA and Sandy Cope (John) of Virginia Beach, VA; his stepson Thomas Mark (Kristen Watson); his brother Bobby Phipps (Patsy) of Galax, VA.; and his grandchildren, John, Skyler, Justin, Jacqueline and Adam. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
