She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Ray and Martha Hall Peake; her husband Clyde Sanders Hanks; and her sons, Virgil Hanks and Wayne Hanks.
She is survived by: her children, Sandra (Jeff Ballard), Randy Hanks of Galax, Virginia and Nathan Hanks of Wytheville, Virginia; and her grandchildren, Timothy (Jessica Hanks), April Mabe and Rachel Hanks (Ryan Hanks). She is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
