It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gladese Odell Kirby of Galax, Virginia, who passed away on January 22, 2022, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Snow and Ada Kirby Snow; her husband Dillard Lee Kirby; and her daughter Patricia Ridpath. She is survived by: her children, Loretta Merilic (Rodney Joyner) of Walkertown, Robin (Kenneth Jones), Regina Kirby, Bill (Tamara Kirby) and Vincent (Kyleane Kirby); her siblings, Connie (JB Frazier), Gene Snow of North Carolina and Leland Snow of Hillsville, Virginia; and her close friend Bobby Johnson of Fries, Virginia.. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren.
