It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Louise Sharp of Galax, Virginia, who passed away on September 25, 2021, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Smith and Minnie Bowers Smith; her husband Wayne H. Sharp, Sr.; and her grandson Michael T. Sharp. She is survived by: her children, Pat Leonard, JoAnn Mellow and Wayne H. Sharp, Jr. of Galax, Virginia; her brother Harold (Tiny); her sisters-in-law, Dorothy Smith of Hillsville, Virginia and Betty Jo Smith of Galax, Virginia; her grandchildren, James L. Payne, Sr. and Tina M. Ports; and her great grandchildren, Nicholas Ryan Sharp, James Payne, Jr. and Brandy Nicole Ports. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
