He was predeceased by: his parents, Randolph Curtis and Edith Irene Rolen Knox. He is survived by: his significant other Melba; his children, Cindy (Doug Fleming), Virginia and Rick; his daughter-in-law Ellyn Knox of Franklin, TN.; his grandchildren, Lucas Rudy of Radford, VA, Jordyn Knox and Ethan Knox of Franklin, TN; his stepgranddaughter Chelsey (Jake Quesenberry); his sister Norma Jean; and his brother-in-law Joe Alfano of Winston-Salem, NC. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and a great-niece and several great-nephews.
The family respectfully request that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to a scholarship in memory of Don Knox to The Galax Foundation of Excellence in Education, P.O. Box 487, Galax, VA 24333.
