It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Michael Floyd of Galax, Virginia, born in Greensboro, North Carolina, who passed away on December 7, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter McLaurin and Mildred Treadwell Floyd; his daughter Pattie Sue Apple Floyd; and his brother James Carlos Floyd. He is survived by: his wife Wilma "Susie" Floyd of Galax, Virginia; his children, Vicki (Chuck Gregory), Nikki (Dean Chavis), Mick (Debbie Floyd) and Rick Floyd of Georgetown; his grandchildren, Emily Floyd, Eric Floyd, Ben (Stephanie Gregory), Jessica (Jacob Norman), Philip (Bethany O'Dell), Matthew Floyd, Andrew (Ashley Floyd) and Adam Chavis (Morgan Chavis); and his great grandchild Blake Norman.
