He was predeceased by: his parents, Coy Galyean and Myrtle Maines Galyean; his former wife Helen Caudill Galyean; and his siblings, Edith Galyean, Talmadge Galyean, William Galyean, Eldon Galyean, Jackson Galyean and Shirley Galyean.
He is survived by: his wife Mitzi Marshall Galyean; his daughter Michele; his son-in-law Larry Thompson; his sons, Nelson (Linda Galyean), Freddie Galyean and Mike "Buckwheat" (Sandra Galyean); his brother Tom; his sisters-in-law, Rena Galyean, Susie Floyd and Norma Galyean; and his nieces, Pat Bond and Diana Murphy. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
