He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Poe and Bertie Cannoy Poe. He is survived by: his wife Thelma Weatherman Poe of Galax, Virginia; his daughter Leigh Ann; his son-in-law Jason Dalton of Laurel Fork, Virginia; his siblings, Emma (Don Weatherman), Joy Sexton of Asheboro and Kenneth Gene; his sister-in-law Dorothy Poe of Independence, Virginia; his grandsons, Ethan Lyons (Kyleigh Lyons) and Jacob Dalton (Taylor Jo Dalton); and his children, Ethan, Kyleigh and Monte Lyons. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
