He was predeceased by: his parents, James Taylor and Beulah Taylor; and his brothers, Jerry Taylor and Larry Taylor. He is survived by: his spouse Billie Ruth Taylor; his children, Charles Delp (Lisa), Sonia Truitt (Tony) and John Taylor (Julia); and his sisters, Linda Taylor, Patty Martin and Bonnie Wright.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Bobby's memory to the Grayson County VFW (PO Box 608, Independence, Virginia 24348), paying homage to his unwavering commitment to his fellow veterans.
