He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Acey Widner and Minnie Murray Widner; his wife Elaine Widner; his son Jason Widner of Galax, Virginia; his grandchildren, Kassie Widner and Jacy Widner; and his sisters, Bonnie Elliott of Fries, Virginia, Wanda (Eads) and Betty (Larry Draper). He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
